MALAGA (30 km away)
A port and cultural city recognized for its history and its pedestrian center. Several museums, including the one dedicated to Picasso, born in Malaga in 1881, and others on contemporary art and Andalusian painting of the 19th century. The MALAGUETA bullring, which continues to host bullfights during the Fair in August. The castle of ALCAZABA, the Renaissance cathedral, the PASEO DEL PARQUE park, the covered market (a very nice window in one of the 2 halls) open every morning (on Mondays there is no fish) and the possibility of eating "on the go", caps etc. Many pedestrian streets in the most famous, CALLE LARIOS. From the rooftop terrace of the MARRIOTT you have a magnificent view of the entire city and the port. You can also have a drink at the bar.
Among other typical restaurants: LOS GATOS and EL PIMPI, where you can eat very well for a reasonable price in an Andalusian atmosphere, and where we like to get together with friends.
